The liquid drops are simple and ideal if you don’t like tablets. Mild taste and no additives. Slightly oily texture but still excellent.

The good things about this vitamin D3 supplement is that it comes in liquid form and you administer it either directly into the mouth or drop it onto your food. It is quick and efficient. The actual vitamin D3 is dissolved into oil, in this case both sunflower seed oil and fractionated coconut oil. I would have preferred them to have been organic oils, rather than commercial oils, which one doesn’t exactly know what mechanical and chemical processes they have been subjected to in order to extract the oil.
The supplement comes in a small dark bottle, which blocks out the light which can have a deleterious action on the vitamin D3, as well as making the oils rancid. So, the manufacturer has thought out the best form of packaging very well. To administer the drops, you simply remove the plastic cap, invert the bottle and the drops slowly seep out on their own accord, one by one. It is easy to administer the correct amount. The problem is you need to have four drops just to reach the NHS recommended dose of 400 IU per day. (there are 100 IU per drop). Many health professionals think you actually need 1000 IU per day, so that would mean taking 10 drops, which is a lot, and especially a lot of oil. If you are weight watching you may not want to take in so much oil. The taste is pretty bland, and is neutral and not unpleasant. The so-called orange flavour is minimal and frankly I could not detect it at all, just an overwhelming oily taste. The taste is quite acceptable.
My overwhelming impression is that there is too much oil in the preparation, in ratio to too little vitamin D3. Rival supplements have a much stronger concentration of vitamin D3, and one or two drops are enough to reach the correct dose. The need to take a vitamin D3 supplement is somewhat seasonal. In summer, if you spend at least half an hour outside in the sun, your body naturally makes enough vitamin D3 in the exposed skin, face and arms. In winter, it is very different, low light levels and the tendency to spend the whole day inside house, or work place, means we all probably have a vitamin D3 deficiency, and taking a supplement like this Pro D3 one is usually recommended. It is best to store the bottle in a fridge, just to keep both the vitamin D3 and the oils from deteriorating and going rancid.
There is 20 ml in the bottle, and taking 4 drops per day, with 30 drops in a single ml on average, the bottle should last for about 18 months, although, in my opinion, it is best to discard it after a year and obtain a fresh supply.

I was recommended by the doctor to take Vitamin D so I was pleased to see these vegan ones.
Easy to take - I let 4 drops on to a spoon and lick off. Not a strong taste - hint of orange is all.
